HEALTH ISSUE: Menopausal indigestion and bloating
SYMPTOMS: Breast tenderness as well as poor digestion and bloating—especially after eating. My pants were feeling tighter and my waistline was expanding. I was having too much protein at once and lots of fruit and broccoli in my diet.
HEALTH RECOMMENDATIONS: I realized that my food choices and hormonal imbalances were causing an increase of bacteria in my colon. I used a mix of 1/2 cup of organic kefir, a tablespoon of flaxseed and a teaspoon of chia seeds each morning on an empty stomach for three weeks. Also, I drank a lot of water throughout the day.
THE RESULTS: My bloating was gone within two weeks and I noticed an increase in my energy levels. I am still eating chia seeds with my meals and working towards losing a few more inches off my waistline.
