Did you know that tea is the most highly consumed beverage in the world next to water? According to researchers from University of Malaya, there is a way to maximize its potential health benefits, and how it can be done differs across types of tea.
The researchers found that in black tea, the most antioxidant activity is reached in a short hot water infusion (steeping). Green tea showed temperature sensitivity, which means that prolonged cold steeping up to two hours yields the most antioxidants.
