Occupation MuchMusic VJ
What’s your secret food vice? Candy and milk chocolate.
What is your number one comfort food? My mom’s macaroni and cheese.
What are the top three things you do to keep a balanced lifestyle? Go to the gym; try to eat healthy but allow myself to indulge every once and awhile; relax with friends and always listen to music.
What is your biggest food challenge? Carbs and sweets. Everyone loves carbs and I’ve loved treats since I was a little girl. Candy, chocolate, ice cream – if it’s sugary, I love it.
Any allergies or dislikes? No allergies, but I’m not a huge fan of red meat. I was a vegetarian for three years and recently began eating chicken and turkey again.
What are some of your go-to meals? Salads, cooked vegetables and Indian or Italian dishes.
What’s your favourite dish or food to eat in the summer? In the winter? In the summer, I love fresh grilled vegetable pasta with corn on the cob and a fresh garden salad with fruit as dessert. In the winter, it’s my mom’s pumpkin soup and roasted sweet potatoes.
What is your favourite meal to make for guests in your home? Take-out. I’m not the best cook and I am just beginning to get into it. Come back to me in five years and I’ll tell you some of my magical tricks.
What have you been busy with lately? Create, write, produce and host an online show called Liz Online, as well as curate the accompanying blog for MuchMusic.com. Liz Online deals with new music, fresh fashion and cool events. The show features interviews with both upcoming and established artists to showcase a wide variety of music, keeping viewers’ ears happy and full of good tunes.
What’s next for you? Endless possibilities. The world is your oyster and we are the pearls.
