Those fine golden threads under every husk of summer corn have a long herbal history. St Francis Herb Farm Cornsilk is a certified organic tincture of Zea mays stigma, traditionally used in herbal medicine as a diuretic and urinary demulcent to help support bladder comfort. It comes in 50, 100 and 250 ml bottles, with label doses from age 2.

How to use

Adults and adolescents 15 and over: 1.6 to 2 ml (48 to 60 drops). Adolescents 10 to 14: 0.8 to 1 ml (24 to 30 drops). Children 5 to 9: 0.4 to 0.5 ml (12 to 15 drops). Children 2 to 4: 0.3 ml (10 drops). Under 2 years: only as directed by a physician. Take each dose 3 times daily in a little water, on an empty stomach.

Which size should I choose?
At the adult dose of 1.6 to 2 ml three times daily, the 50 ml lasts about 8 to 10 days, the 100 ml about 16 to 20 days and the 250 ml about 41 to 52 days.

Can children take cornsilk?
The label gives doses from age 2, starting at 10 drops three times daily for ages 2 to 4. Under age 2, use only as a physician directs, and check with a practitioner if your child takes other medication.
