Badger & Winters, an advertising, branding & design agency specializing in communicating to women, has announced the launch of WomenNotObjects.com as well as a new call-to-action video titled “#IStandUp,” which was created as a follow-up to the company’s initial video “We Are #WomenNotObjects.”
“#IStandUp” is a call to action to stand up for yourselves, your sisters, your future daughters and your co-workers to light the harms of objectification.
“This is not a theoretical discussion, it is one that is supported by scientific data,” says Madonna Badger, Founder and Chief Creative Officer, Badger & Winters. “When companies objectify women in their advertising and content, they’re teaching young girls, just as they are understanding their place in the world, that looks are more important than who you are, how you feel and what you can do. And young boys are getting the message that girls are to be judged on how they look – nothing more.”
