“Staying healthy while travelling actually prepares itself a week before embarking on your journey”, says Dr. Gordon Chang of Omega Alpha.

It feels like an eternity since I was away, chilling on the beach or cruising the streets of one of my bucket list cities. I can wait to jump on a plane to just get away and this time I am not going to let stomach issues, sleep adjustment and cold or flu mess up with my travels. I am going in prepared.

Passport- check, hand sanitizer- check, wipes- check, sun protection- check, moisturizer- check. Now my supplements. Let me pack the essentials.

A multivitamin

A daily multivitamin gives you a sense of peace that you are getting your bases cover during your trip. So often as we are mesmerized by the surrounding and experience that becoming less conscious of what we eat sets you back.

Immune support supplement

Could not be as simple as these. Vitamin C, vitamin D3,  Zinc or Oregano Oil. A must for a healthy immune system and so easy to put into your suitcase. My Oregano Oil and Vitamin C are probably my favourites. You can get those Vitamin C that comes in a sachet and put in your water while on vacation. You get the bonus of flavouring your water. I love the raspberry ones.

Probiotics

You never know the source and hygiene around what you are eating on a trip, so help boost your gut health and reinforce your digestive defences against what might upset your stomach. After all, great food experiences while away make your vacation.

Melatonin

Travelling across time zones affects the most frequent fliers. Melatonin one of the best-known weapon against jetlag.

Preferably taken at the bedtime that you are at would help your body adjusting with much ease. Sleep is the new gold. ON AVERAGE WE GET CLOSE TO 90 MINUTES LESS SLEEP THAN 50 YEARS AGO. Check out what is impacting our health and get more sleep.
