Dr. Youdim’s Tips
- Fill up on protein to curb your hunger hormones
- Make half your plate green (nutrient-dense foods)
- Limit alcohol and drink sparkling water
- Drink a hot beverage, like tea, after your meal to mentally cue that you are done
- Don’t starve yourself before a big meal or go into a big meal hungry
- Build resilience so you don’t over-eat: practice self-care, creativity, connect with others, get out in nature, move your body, get enough sleep
Dr. Youdim is the author of Hungry for More: Stories and Science to Inspire Weight Loss from the Inside Out and host of the Health Bite podcast. Dr. Youdim served as the Medical Director of the Cedars-Sinai Weight Loss Center, then brought her passion and expertise to her own private practice in Beverly Hills, California. She currently holds positions as Associate Professor of medicine at UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine and Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
