A study published in Obesity found that eating a big, healthy breakfast (even if it included a cookie for a treat) reduced insulin, glucose and triglyceride levels throughout the day. This makes it easier to lose weight and also lowers the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension and high cholesterol.
