Whether it’s a first date or sneaking out for a night with your husband and leaving the kids with the babysitter, you’ll want to dazzle. Try one of these six, easy to create natural looks based on summer’s hottest hues and textures. You’ll see how a small change like a new lip colour or a bold hue on your lids can tip the scales to drop dead gorgeous.

FULL LASHES

Reminiscent of the doe-eyed sixties make-up and the sex kitten look of Bridgette Bardot, false eyelashes bring a spark of sexy to any look. For added intensity add lashes to the top and bottom.

HAIR: Soft slept-in, textured hair compliments this carefree, sexy look. THE NATURAL WAY: Just spray on sea salt water with conditioner to give texture without greasiness.

On Stefanie: Margit David sheer embroidered dress.

RADIANT ORCHID

Radiant Orchid is the “it” colour of the season. With undertones of fuchsia, purple and pink, the hue emanates great joy, love and health.

HOW TO USE IT: When using a strong pop of colour, choose just one feature to accent – less is more. Keep the rest of the face neutral.

THE NATURAL WAY: Look for high-grade mineral makeup to provide rich, deep pigments without added chemicals.

On Stefanie: Sheer paneled bodysuit by American Apparel; ring by Charles Albert.

GOLDEN HOUR

Whether in your wardrobe or your makeup, yellow is a must try colour this summer. Yellow hues in makeup work best when your wardrobe is in other bright colours, such as blue. Try a punch of yellow on the eyelids, then continue to blend up to the brow bone with the colour gradually fading.

THE NATURAL WAY: Red tea is a fantastic anti-aging ingredient often used in natural makeup. It contains an enzyme called Superoxide Dismutase, which helps prevent free radical damage.

HAIR: Dreamy up-do’s are the perfect looks for any romantic night out. With this season’s more carefree relaxed looks, you can look great without looking like you tried too hard.

THE NATURAL WAY: For a soft slept in look, spray on sea salt water with conditioner to give texture without greasiness.

On Stefanie: Coco Johnsen dress; Charles Albert ring.

COLOUR SPLASH

Purple was the starring hue on the runway this season. It’s the perfect complimentary colour when wearing yellow because the shades are opposite each other on the colour wheel.

THE NATURAL WAY: Look for high-grade mineral makeup to provide rich, deep pigments without added chemicals.

On Stefanie: Coco Johnsen dress; Charles Albert cuff.

WARM GLOW

Bronzers are a great way to fake a tan without any harsh effects to your skin. As a highlighter, use a soft brush to sweep a lighter shade of bronzer (with shimmer) on areas where the sun would naturally fall on your face – the forehead, top of cheek bones, bride of nose and chin. For contouring, use a deeper bronzer shade with a matte finish to give warmth and depth.

THE NATURAL WAY: Mica is an inorganic, colourless silicate mineral that provides luster and adhesion in makeup.

HAIR: Braids are back! There are so many ways to wear them and messy is in so don’t worry if you’re still learning.

On Stefanie: Coco Johnsen dress; Tebazile coiled bangle; Kesha Rose by Charles Albert Druzy ring.

FEMININITY

You can never miss with a feminine look and natural, healthy skin. Well-conditioned skin with minimal coverage pulls off this look, using concealer only on areas that need a touch of cover up.

THE NATURAL WAY: Look for natural moisturizing ingredients such as aloe vera, vitamin E, chamomile and dimethicone (a natural way to prevent water loss).

HAIR: Seaside waves are parted in the middle for a more current look. Try an hourglass wand for curling.

On Stefanie: Margit David pearl embellished top and sheer pleated skirt; Kesha Rose by Charles Albert Druzy ring
