Joe Keating is pumped up for the fitness challenge he’s holding on April 24.
The virtual event, to benefit the Canadian Mental Health Association Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge, will happen on Facebook at 10 a.m.
Keating is raising awareness for the CMHA HKPR by lifting weights. He plans to swing a kettlebell 4,000 times, once for every person who dies of suicide each year in Canada. He says staying active has helped him deal with depression.
He’s challenging others to complete 4,000 reps of a movement of their choice to raise awareness of mental health issues and promote suicide prevention resources.
Details are at 4,000 Reps for Mental Health Awareness on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/events/464607381476372/
