Lamb Burgers with Mango Relish
Makes four large burgers
Lamb burgers
- 420 g (1/3 C) bread crumbs
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
- 60 ml (¼ C) fresh mint chopped
- Salt and pepper
- 2 cloves garlic
- 680 g (1.5 lbs) ground lamb
Relish
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) olive oil
- 1 Mango
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) chopped mint
- ½ white onion, chopped
- Splash chili flakes
- 2 cloves garlic
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) agave nectar
- 60 ml (¼ C) water
Relish:
Chop mango, mint and white onion.
Add all ingredients to a small pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer until everything is very soft. Approximately 30 minutes.
Once soft, mash with fork or masher until becomes the fruit is broken to small pieces. A few larger pieces of fruit are OK.
Lamb burgers:
Mix all ingredients together and form patties (makes 4 large patties). Grill to desired doneness and serve with relish.
