AGE: 53
OCCUPATION: EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
HEALTH ISSUE: ENERGY AND MEMORY LOSS, DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, FUZZY THINKING, WEIGHT GAIN
Symptoms: I suffered from miserable post-partum depression after my last child was born, and was put on antidepressants, which was a blessing at the time. Years later, I was still on them and not feeling well. Once sharp as a tack, I was struggling with memory loss. I thought I had early-onset Alzheimer’s and felt absolutely desperate. I had anxiety, was overweight and didn’t have much energy to get on an exercise program.
Health recommendations: My MD tested me for low thyroid, and said the results weren’t low enough to warrant putting me on medication. I sought the care of a naturopath and took the blood test results to him. He said naturopaths judge the levels differently, and gave me a prescription, some supplements and recommended some dietary changes, to help get me through the anti-depressant detox period with as few side effects as possible.

The results: Today I feel like a new person, waking up peppy and optimistic every day, with a clear head. I can remember short and long-term details without a problem. Best of all, I have energy to exercise and have lost 25 pounds.
