Onions, turmeric, red grapes, green tea and acai berries all help prevent chronic inflammation that often plays a role in cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer’s disease and diabetes. According to a new study from the University of Liverpool’s Institute of Ageing and Chronic Disease, diet rich in the foods containing polyphenols protect against age-related inflammation and chronic diseases.

According to Sian Richardson, who conducted the study with Chris Ford, people who are more susceptible to chronic inflammation, may benefit from supplementing their diets with isorhamnetin, resveratrol, curcumin and vanillic acid or with foods that contain these compounds.
