simple and delicious. perfect for adding to smoothies, granola or oatmeal. use any kind of nut or seed you like; examples are almonds, cashews, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, hemp seeds, pecans and macadamias. you could even use coconut meat! the nut or seed you use in this recipe will determine the flavor of the mylk. if you like cashews, use cashews! if pecans are your fave, try making pecan mylk. there are endless possibilities. personally i love walnuts, and so walnuts mylk is my top pick. also keep in mind that some nuts allow for creamier mylk than others; cashews, pine nuts and macadamias are the best for this because of their high healthy fat content.

1 cup (100 g) raw nuts or seeds

3 cups (710 mL) water

Cover the nuts in water and let them soak for 6 hours. Discard the soak water and rinse the nuts with fresh water. Blend the soaked nuts with fresh water until smooth, frothy and white.
