health issue: chronic fatigue
Symptoms: I woke up one morning feeling tired and weak. I was under increased stress, and had been stricken with a bad flu. After getting over it, I decided to do a cleanse, hoping it would help. The cleanse was too strong for me, and I got quite sick and had to discontinue it. My MD told me the fatigue was due to stress. I tried to live with it; however, my symptoms continued to worsen. After two years and another stressful period, I began to get panic attacks, I was cold all the time and I felt like my body was shutting down. I had a number of visits with specialists; all my test results came back normal.
Health recommendations: I went to an acupuncturist, who recommended an acupuncture protocol along with diet modification, B12 injections, and a shift in exercise intensity towards lighter activity.
The results: I’ve had a 50 per cent improvement in energy levels and overall well-being. I feel my best when I stick to a vegan, low-fat, raw food diet. I continue to work on improving my energy to 100 per cent, understanding that sometimes it takes time.
