What is your number one comfort food? Homemade tomato sauce and any kind of cheese.
What keeps you eating a balanced diet? My natural cravings. I love grains, nuts, berries, tomatoes and dark greens.
Any dislikes? Nope. I love it all! Sweets and pastries have never been a thing of mine.
What must you always have in your fridge? Carrots, celery, onions, tomatoes. Greek yogurt, Canadian blueberries, homemade pasta sauce, eggs – oh and way too much cheese.
Strangest food(s) you’ve tried? 1,000-year-old egg, prairie oysters, which I wouldn’t do again. I eat Marmite almost every day; I love my Dad’s pickled eggs.
What’s your favourite dish or food to eat in the summer? In the winter? I make heirloom tomatoes bruschetta in the summer ALL the time, and grilled peach salad. In winter – puréed soups with seasonal veggies. I make all kinds of varieties of soups in the winter!
