Occupation: Entertainment Anchor for CityNews and CityNews Channel

What’s your secret food vice? Dark chocolate. I’m very into it with sea salt right now.

What is your number one comfort food? I drink green tea with almond milk all day long, but a great burger with fries is my favourite!

What is your biggest food challenge? I’m allergic to milk. And since I’m always running around for work, I have to be organized with my meals to ensure I eat well.

What keeps you eating a balanced diet? Ultimately, feeling good outweighs the taste of unhealthy foods, so I make the best diet choices I possibly can and always include plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables.

Any allergies or dislikes? I’m allergic to milk and was a vegan for a long time, so I’m used to altering my recipes. For dislikes…I’ve always hated the smell of processed cheese.

What must you always have in your fridge? Eggs, tofu, spinach, apples, almond milk, Grapefruit Perrier, Dijon mustard and horseradish.

What are some of your go-to meals? Chicken, arugula and avocado salad.

Strangest food you’ve tried? Dulce – I’m from the Maritimes and my grandfather loved it!

What’s your favourite dish or food to eat in the summer? In the winter? In the summer, I LOVE fresh berries and watermelon. In the winter, I love warm and hearty soups.

What is your favourite meal to make for guests in your home? I love to barbeque. Vegetables, zucchini, tomatoes, salmon…you name it.

What is your most used/favourite ingredient to cook with and why? Good sea salt and
olive oil.

What have you been busy with over the last year? My new role anchoring the “Entertainment City” segment on CityNews has been very busy and very exciting.

What’s next for you? I’ll be hosting a variety of events on the vibrant Toronto entertainment scene.
