Jennifer Meyer re-posted the images onto her website and social media channels to promote her brand but was ordered to remove the posts by Kensington Palace.
One necklace was captured on the Duchess during her first outing with baby Archie, another was taken in New York where Duchess Meghan held her baby shower weeks prior. Another image on the designer’s accounts shows the Duchess wearing a pair of earrings at a Wimbeldon event while another shows her wearing some rings in South Africa.
Jennifer Meyer was asked to remove the images for concern they could cause harm to Meghan and the Royal family. According to a palace source, Los Angeles-based Jennifer Meyer was in breach of a non-disclosure agreement during the time she shared the images of Duchess Meghan. Links provided on her social media and web channels directed people to purchase through her website.
Ingrid Seward, Editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, has been quoted saying, ‘Meghan has again blurred the line between celebrity and royalty,’ perhaps hinting that the Duchess was happy to be aligned with the brand.
