What’s your secret food vice?
Chocolate, chocolate and chocolate.
What is your number one comfort food?
Croissants with Nutella.
What is your biggest food challenge?
Falling off the clean-eating wagon after a big event or fitness accomplishment. I love sweets!
What keeps you eating a balanced diet?
Mostly the way it makes me feel.
Any allergies or dislikes?
I don’t like coriander and I can’t stand ginger.
What must you always have in your fridge?
Egg whites and Udo’s oil. I need my voice to work and when I have a sore throat, I use oregano oil for fast relief.
What are some of your go-to meals?
Boiled eggs, egg white omelets with spinach and onion, steel cut oats.
Strangest food you’ve tried?
Cow tongue. I didn’t know it was tongue. Yuck.
What’s your favourite dish or food to eat in the summer? In the winter?
In the summer, I love protein shakes for their quickness and portability. In the winter, it’s all about oatmeal.
What’s your favourite meal to make for guests in your home?
My crab and béchamel crepes always go over well.
What’s your most used/favourite ingredient to cook with and why?
Olive oil. If it’s a high quality brand, it tastes amazing slightly warm or room temperature, so it’s perfect for low heat frying or on top of a salad. It gives me a quick and healthy dose of fat.
What have you been busy with over the
last year?
Raising two kids, keeping my husband happy and hosting Cityline. So, not much really.
What’s next for you?
Career-wise, I want to stay with Cityline long enough to truly master the craft of daytime television. Personally, I’ll be busy keeping my kids focused on school and sports while still fitting in some fun and quality time with my husband and parents.
Tracy Moore is the host of Cityline on City. Cityline runs weekdays at 9 a.m. on City.
