Gamma oryzanol has been used mainly for high cholesterol and menopause symptoms. Take notes that there is no good scientific evidence to support most of those uses.
It reduces cholesterol levels by reducing the absorption of cholesterol from foods.

As well the ingredient is also frequently promoted for managing menopause, researchers speculate it could be helpful due to its impacts on luteinizing hormone (LH).

Although as a publication, we do not support animal testing, however, animal studies suggest that gamma oryzanol might reduce testosterone production.

Useful for:
Abnormal levels of cholesterol or blood fats (dyslipidemia). Analysis shows that using gamma oryzanol orally lowers total cholesterol, “bad” low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol, and blood fats called triglycerides.  The outcomes of gamma oryzanol on “good” high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol are mixed. Rice bran oil with gamma oryzanol likewise lowers LDL cholesterol. 

It is fairly safe to use however Gamma oryzanol could lower thyroid function. Avoid using any form of gamma oryzanol if you have thyroid problems.
